Swimming The District Swimming Gala takes place at Eastwood Pool on Saturday 15 March 2008. This event is not about everyone being the best swimmer its about taking part and whether you sink like a brick or swim like a fish it will be a great night for everyone. Please support this event as its one of the most expensive that we run costing over £400. This year we have been privileged in obtaining financial support from Strathclyde Police at Giffnock to hold the event and to them we express our gratitude. The Junior Section event will begin at 6.30p.m. prompt and the Company Section event at 7.30p.m.  All Boys taking part need to be changed and ready to participate by those times.

Tuesday 18 March 2008
Ten Pin Bowling The District Ten Pin Bowling night has been arranged for Tuesday 18 March 2008 at its usual venue Pro Bowl in Stroud Road East Kilbride. The cost this year is £9 for two games and is subject to everyone being paid in before 6pm otherwise the cost rises alarmingly. The event is open to all Company section ages and is generally a very good night.

If any Junior Section Boys want to come with their dads they can have two games at the same price and will not be competing with the older Boy so it should be a good night for the younger Boys as well.

I will be there to start the event off but have to come back to the Church as its the Stated Annual Meeting. This means that on Friday i'd like to know if any parents can help with transport and also stay during the games to supervise along with the other Company Officers present. parents will be most welcome to have a game as well. The usual burger chips and coke is also available along with many other eats. Prices are about £2.49 for a children's meal. Hope to see as many of you out as possible

Sunday 10 February 2008
Many thanks to Alex Ross (Cameron and Fraser's dad) who has put on doors providing us with a new cupboard to use for the tuck shop.

Go Karting - Successful Night Out

27 places were taken at The Garage for a night of Go Karting, Ten Pin Bowling and Pool. It was a great night out of fun for those attending. This is something we will do again and its an ideal venue for family outings especially is a few get together as it means that the group all keep together with no others joining them. Many thanks to all the dads who came and supported the event. Sorry about the images above being so dark but they look slightly better in a bigger size. Thanks to Murray Shaw for passing them on.

Friday 27 October 2007

Tonight the Junior Section had a halloween party and were variously dressed to scare. The BOYS had a great night and were not at all scared by the very real looking jelly beetles that were used to sit on a plate of chocolate marshmallows. A great deal of fun was had.

Friday 31 August 2007

Great to see the Junior Section back and especially all of you in your new uniforms. Hope your mum was pleased with your appearance as well. Games and crafts started tonight and from the noise everyone had an enjoyable night. We learned a bit about our church tonight and had to work out who did what. As you can see some managed to stay quite tidy and others... well you decide and let us know.
