Welcome to the 86th BB - First for Boys in Giffnock
District Church Parades
We attend two parades in uniform to Churches in our District. This involves Juniors, Company and Senior Boys' joining other Companies in Eastwood District and marching locally to the Church that is hosting the BB Service. Anchor Boy's meet in the Church and enjoy fun and games during worship in one of the halls.
We try not to get wet so in inclement weather we may have to postpone the marching but touch wood this has not happened recently!

FOUNDER'S DAY PARADE Sunday 28 October 2007
The Founder's Day Parade this year will be held in the Park Church. Members of all companies in Eastwood District should be in attendance. This parade celebrates the foresight of our founder Sir William Smith in 1883 when he started the Boy's Brigade movement not far from here on the other side of the Clyde.
Anchor Boys should go straight to the Church arriving for 2.45pm.
There are activities planned for them during the service and they will have a fantastic time.
Junior and Company Section Boy's should meet at Giffnock Station car park no later than 2.10pm.
We will parade in the car park and march from the station car park over to Orchard Drive and then to the Church at the Corner with Rravenscliffe Drive.
At the conclusion of the service we will parade in Ravenscliffe Drive and march off at 4pm back to Giffnock station car park where we will dismiss.
If the weather is poor we will go straight to the church. We haven't had a bad day now for years so fingers crossed.
This is a great opportunity to let the public know that you are members of a world wide organisation and that on this day all over the world somewhere a similar celebration will be happening.
This is a must go for all Boys'.

Youth Services at Orchardhill
We also attend two youth services at our own church and on these occasions we meet in uniform at the Church.
We have an almost 100% turnout of Company Boys at Church and Youth Parades and just as many every Sunday at Church. It is disappointing that the younger boys don't join us. Can you please encourage the Boys to come along at 9.45am when we meet in the Church during the BB session. They just need their mums and dads to remind them and bring them along. If you've not been to the Family Service at 9.45am come along and see what's happening, you might be pleasantly surprised.
Please support your BB Company and join me in encouraging the Boys to attend Church.
